Understand example values

Lactate test example analysis: table, curve, LT1 and LT2

An example analysis shows faster than any definition what happens to your measurements: table, lactate curve, thresholds and usable training ranges.

Input data

A typical cycling step test contains 6 to 9 stages. For each stage you need power, lactate and optionally heart rate.

  • Stages 1-2: low lactate values and a stable aerobic range
  • Stages 3-4: first relevant rise, often close to LT1
  • Stages 5-6: steeper rise, threshold range and LT2

Interpretation

The analysis should not focus only on the highest value. The important signal is the curve shape and where the slope changes.

  • LT1 helps define Zone 2 precisely
  • LT2 guides threshold training and pacing
  • Method comparison shows how stable the threshold estimate is

Analyze your own lactate values

Enter pace or power and your measured lactate values. LactateThreshold calculates lactate curve, LT1, LT2, VLamax and training zones.

Why you can trust the analysis

LactateThreshold does not turn measurements into false precision. The app shows the curve, method comparison, plausible thresholds and the limits of your test protocol transparently.

Method comparison instead of a single black-box value
Clear separation of LT1, LT2, VLamax and training zones
Limits of self-testing are stated openly
Training guidance, not a medical diagnosis

Frequently asked questions

Can I enter my own example values?

Yes. In the demo you can enter your own values or start from example data.

Why do LT2 methods differ?

Each method makes different assumptions about curve shape. The spread between methods is an important quality signal.
