Gait stability with a hands-free knee crutch and standard axillary crutches in a simulated foot injury

Randomized crossover study at the University of Iowa with 21 healthy adults aged 18 to 45: walking without aids, with a walking boot only, with a hands-free crutch or with axillary crutches, each with and without a boot. The primary outcome was whole-body angular momentum as a measure of gait stability.
