Airway narrowing after a hyperventilation test in young footballers, basketball players and swimmers compared with peers

Prospective cohort study with 134 adolescents (aged 11 to 15): 44 footballers, 26 basketball players and 47 swimmers from Belgian youth elite sport plus 17 recreationally active controls. Airway response to a hyperventilation test, allergies and a sputum inflammation marker were measured.
